The European School of Economics (ESE) and The Florence Academy of Art (FAA) have come together to forge a partnership to offer students who are interested in business and visual arts a truly unique learning experience. During this 4-week summer intensive programme students will learn about the creative as well as the business aspects of art, along with skills to be able to competently approach both subjects.
Programme dates: July 1 – 26
Instructors: Faculty from ESE and FAA
Credits: 1.0 (for Fine Arts Workshop)
Time: 10am – 12pm and 2pm – 5pm
Length: 4 weeks
– Art Business courses: Borgo Santi Apostoli, 19, Florence
– Fine Arts courses: Via Aretina, 293, Florence
Students will attend the following three Art Business courses in the mornings at ESE’s magnificent Palazzo Rosselli Del Turco in the centre of Florence, Monday through Friday, 10 am – 12 pm:
- Art Marketing & Business
- E-Business & E-Commerce
- Art Law
They will transfer in the afternoons to the FAA campus to attend their choice of one of the following Fine Arts workshops, Monday through Friday, 2 pm – 5 pm:
- Figure Drawing, the Academic Method
- Portraiture, Techniques and Traditions
Welcome Party & Art History Tours
During the first week of school, ESE & FAA will welcome students during an evening garden party at the Budini Gattai Palace. On Saturdays, students will take inspiration from the masterpieces around them by exploring museums and galleries in Florence during guided museum visits to the Uffizi Gallery, the Accademia, Bargello Sculpture Museum, and the Pitti Palace.
The university credits that students will earn upon completion of one of the FAA Fine Arts workshops are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD).
