On Friday 22 November 2019 Professor Arcuri’s Operations Management class took place at the Confindustria premises in Florence in occasion of a round table on ‘Sustainability in the International Business Context’.

ESE Florence and the Employers’ Association of Florence jointly organised a round table focusing on the role of sustainability in the international business environment. The event took place on November 22nd 2019 and involved an expert in environmental issues, who critically discussed the impact of sustainability on firms’ strategy and operations and explained how a sustainable business model can be practically implemented in three key economic sectors: fashion, mechanical engineering and food.

The initiative allowed students to understand how management concepts can be applied to real-world business situations and to learn more about the interaction between firms and business associations.
