Read moreWe are pleased and delighted to have as a Guest Speaker Mr Simone Cipriani, Founder and General Manager of Ethical Fashion Initiative, at the International Trade Centre.
The lecture will be made available for everyone via Google Meet on Wednesday the 24th of March, from 10.00 am until 11.30 am (CET).

Simone Cipriani’s mission is to build a more responsible and sustainable fashion industry, by transforming it into a vehicle of poverty reduction and of empowerment of women, throughout the developing world. The Ethical Fashion Initiative enables artisans who live in marginalised conditions, in Africa, the Caribbean and Asia to become regular suppliers of international fashion and lifestyle brands, thus reducing poverty and empowering large numbers of women artisans. To be ethically acceptable, development must deliver a new stage in a changing situation: “to be a goal we wish actively to pursue, development must be freedom“ (Amartya Sen). Simone Cipriani will tell us how we might begin to make this come about.
