European School of Economics students were hosted in the City of London last Friday in the award-winning offices of Bloomberg. The new headquarters, opened just 2 years ago and designed to stimulate communication forces both visitors and staff to walk under and around the ship-like hull to then ascend and begin their journey  in the 2nd floor common area. In the interest of transparency, no one has a private office and executives work from common rooms next to analysts, researchers and technicians. Students were introduced to the Bloomberg terminal and given a generous one-hour presentation on the various aspects of its working in addition to learning about the company ethos and while also enjoying the ‘Open Pantry’ snack areas.

The view through to St.Pauls’s Cathedral visible in the commons area photos is protected by contract. Students were heartily encouraged to apply for the internships as new staff come in for training on a monthly basis.
