Imagine a website that offers literally anything you’d like to buy  at discounted prices, for a limited time only. Well, you don’t really have to imagine it, because it already exists! With products ranging from clothing to hi-tech devices, all available at your fingertips, Veepee (previously known as Vente-Privee Privalia) has quickly established itself as the pioneer e-commerce portal of ‘flash sales-event’. Founded back in 2001in Paris by the visionary intuition of Jacques-Antoine Granjon and expanded through a joint venture with the Spanish Privalia in 2016, Veepee is now available in twelve European countries as well as in Brazil and Mexico.

Yesterday, our ESE Milan short course students had the chance to visit Veepee’s Headquarters in Milan and meet Giulia Sbernini, Coordinator of Marketing Operations, and Marta Nauselli, HR Business Partner.

The whole experience, at its core, had the objective to pass Veepee’s values onto the students:  teamwork,transparency and always putting the customer and the brand at the centre through impact, loyalty and engagement. To better understand the whole philosophy surrounding this company it’s crucial to consider its values proposition: building an “A-Player” organization by selecting the best talents in the market and then retaining them thanks to an amazing learning and development offer, while working in an overall “feel good” environment.

The highlight of the whole experience was definitely the use of gaming to create even more engagement: our students took part in a virtual trivia competition between themselves by answering all kinds of questions through their smartphones. Introducing gamification to a working environment is the kind of innovation and forward-thinking attitude that our students at ESE love and can get inspired from.
