The European School of Economics is proud to announce the conclusion of the Smart City course, conducted in collaboration with the Q8 group. The forward-thinking decision to increasingly emphasize the theme of social sustainability and to provide free access to capable and deserving students through scholarships is commendable. The fitting conclusion of the course was the event held at the Ara Pacis at the end of June.
The event, which was opened by Fadel Al-Faraj, Executive Vice President Marketing of Kuwait Petroleum International, saw the participation of the Minister of the Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, along with other prominent representatives from institutions, leading companies, and notable academics.
During the day, Giorgio Silli, Under Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Sabrina Alfonsi, Councillor for Agriculture, Environment, and Waste Management of the City of Rome, also spoke.  Massimiliano and Doriana Fuksas, Architects, Giulio Sapelli, Fondazione Eni, Enrico Mattei, Luca Gastaldi Scientific Representative of the Smart City Observatory at Politecnico di Milano, Alberto Gambino, Pro-Rector at the European University of Rome, Alessandra Paola Ghisleri Pollster and Director of Euromedia Research, Guido Scorza Member of the Guarantor for the protection of personal data, Giuseppe Cassano, Professor and Director of the Legal Sciences Department.
