Last week, ESE Florence immersed its students in the vibrant heart of Florence’s fashion scene with the ESE Pitti Experience, a dynamic journey into the world of luxury and creativity during the prestigious Pitti Immagineweek. Guided by Cristina Vittoria Egger, a respected authority in luxury and lifestyle, this initiative offered more than just education—it provided a profound exploration of the artistry, tradition, and innovation that position Florence as a global fashion capital.

The week was filled with enriching and memorable experiences. Students gained exclusive access to the legendary atelier of Stefano Bemer, where they discovered the meticulous craftsmanship behind bespoke luxury footwear. They also visited Liverano, one of Florence’s most iconic tailoring houses, uncovering the secrets of bespoke tailoring and delving into its rich heritage.

To further inspire the students, celebrated designer Mirco Giovannini, known for his revolutionary knitwear creations, delivered a guest lecture at the ESE Florence campus. Giovannini shared insights into his creative process and shed light on the ever-evolving landscape of luxury fashion, leaving students both informed and motivated.

Beyond the learning experience, the Pitti Experience provided valuable networking opportunities. Students attended exclusive parties and private events during Pitti week, mingling with industry professionals and absorbing the lively energy of Florence’s fashion scene firsthand.

The ESE Pitti Experience is a reflection of ESE Florence’s commitment to blending academic learning with practical exposure. Events like these empower students to transition seamlessly from the classroom to the professional world, equipping them with both the knowledge and the confidence to excel in the competitive fashion industry.

Complementing initiatives like the Pitti Experience, ESE offers a 3-month programme in Fashion & Luxury Goods Management. Designed to provide a robust foundation in both the business and creative aspects of fashion, the course blends theoretical knowledge with real-world experience.

Key areas of study include:

  • Luxury brand management
  • Fashion marketing
  • Trend forecasting
  • E-commerce strategies
  • Business growth techniques

These subjects are taught by leading industry experts, ensuring that students are not only well-informed but also ready to innovate and lead in the fashion world.

At ESE, education doesn’t stop at the classroom door. The program offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through internships with esteemed organizations. Among these is Pitti Immagine, one of ESE’s valued partners and a cornerstone of Florence’s fashion landscape. This partnership emphasizes the importance of practical learning, allowing students to apply their skills in a real-world setting while building connections that can propel their careers.

By merging education with experience, ESE Florence continues to empower its students to become the next generation of innovators and leaders in the global fashion industry.
