Read moreAt the European School of Economics, we believe that true leadership and business acumen are not merely learned from textbooks; they are absorbed through total immersion in culture, heritage, and beauty. What better way to experience the true essence of Italian lifestyle than by mastering one of the country’s most beloved culinary traditions? Our international students at ESE Florence recently had the extraordinary opportunity to do exactly that during a highly exclusive tiramisu workshop.
This immersive workshop was meticulously organised as a core component of the Food & Beverage class, an integral part of our Hospitality Management programme. We design our specialized courses to go beyond traditional academic boundaries, offering students a profound way to connect the theoretical intricacies of the global Food & Beverage industry with practical, hands-on experience. For students pursuing a British degree with us, stepping away from the standard classroom setting to apply theoretical concepts in real time is a fundamental expression of our educational philosophy: learning through creative leisure, passion, and joyful engagement.
For the occasion, culinary expert Tommaso from Villa Monteoriolo visited ESE Florence to lead the session and share his masterful expertise. The workshop unfolded within the magnificent halls of Palazzo Rosselli del Turco, one of our most historic international campuses, located right in the pulsing heart of the city. As a visionary private university, we know that the environment inevitably shapes the mind. With its elegant interiors and classical music softly playing in the background, the setting provided the perfect aesthetic atmosphere for a truly authentic Italian experience.
In a captivating and engaging manner, Tommaso guided the students through the preparation of an authentic Italian tiramisu, revealing the cherished secrets behind the recipe while demonstrating the elegant simplicity of this iconic dessert. The workshop was filled with laughter, intellectual curiosity, and harmonious teamwork. For our diverse body of international students, this was more than a culinary lesson; it was a powerful exercise in collaborative leadership, allowing them to connect with one another and experience Italian culture from the inside out.
Naturally, the most rewarding part of the journey came at the conclusion: sitting together to taste the exquisite tiramisu they had prepared themselves. Sharing the final creation was the perfect manifestation of the idea that outer success and joy are a direct reflection of inner harmony.
A heartfelt thank you to Villa Monteoriolo for bringing their unparalleled expertise and enthusiasm to our business school, and for sharing a profound taste of genuine Italian tradition and hospitality with our future leaders.
