Read moreIn today’s world, being a sustainable company no longer simply means ‘doing less damage’. The real challenge for the leaders of the future is to become a regenerative force: to create new economic, social and environmental value by acting as conscious actors within an interconnected global system.
The ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) approach has become a fundamental standard by which to measure this commitment, but the complexity of our times demands a further step. A deeper vision is needed, one that can connect the dots between the health of the planet, the health of people and economic prosperity.
To respond to this need, the European School of Economics, true to its mission of training leaders capable of anticipating the future, presents the One Health ESG Management: the first European training course that integrates ESG criteria with the ‘One Health’ paradigm, creating a systemic vision for truly transformational leadership.
The One Health paradigm, recognised by the world’s leading organisations (WHO, FAO, UNEP), is based on an idea that is as simple as it is powerful: the health of humans, animals and the environment are inextricably linked. We cannot have thriving communities on a sick planet.
Our programme uses this lens to reinterpret and enhance the three ESG pillars:
The goal is ambitious: to move from a cosmetic sustainability to a regenerative sustainability, capable of preventing systemic crises and, at the same time, generating a solid competitive advantage.
This course is designed for professionals who feel the urgency of this transformation and want to be its protagonists. It is aimed at:
With a total duration of 30 hours in blended (online and face-to-face in Milan and Genoa) mode, the programme is structured to provide a solid conceptual foundation and immediately applicable tools.
The CORE Module (15 hours) builds the foundation of this new vision, exploring topics such as global systemic crises, European regulations (CSRD), inclusive leadership, emerging technologies such as AI and blockchain for sustainability, and metrics to measure real impact.
Subsequently, the Vertical Modules (15 hours) allow these principles to be cast into the reality of specific sectors. These courses, which can be customised for companies or professional groups, address the concrete challenges of fields such as Healthcare & Pharma, Agribusiness, Energy, Finance, Tech, Public Administration and many others.
Coordinated by the ESE’s Department of Innovation and Sustainability, the programme boasts a multidisciplinary faculty of academics, business managers, and experts from foundations and research centres. The course is also enriched by International Guest Speakers, workshop activities and networking moments, offering a unique opportunity for discussion and mentorship.
At the end of the course, participants receive not just a certificate, but a real toolkit for action:
Participating companies will also have access to the process of being recognised as a One Health Company.
The future is now. The start of the pilot programme is set for 1 October 2025.
