A Legacy of Vision and Leadership in Sport

For over three decades, the European School of Economics has been at the forefront of academic innovation in sport, establishing Europe’s first Faculty of Economics and Management of Sport. Through its pioneering Champions’ Program, ESE has supported elite athletes in balancing professional sport with academic study, producing a higher percentage of world champions among its graduates than any other university.

ESE believes that sport is not only a competitive or commercial phenomenon but a profound educational force, a means to nurture moral integrity, discipline, and excellence. Through its programs, ESE seeks to inspire young people to become leaders capable of transforming sport into a global school of truth, prosperity, and beauty.

“Sport is a universal language of integrity and aspiration,” said Professor Belluzzo. “ESE’s vision aligns perfectly with my own belief that education and sport together can shape a new generation of leaders who are not only successful but deeply grounded in purpose and values.”

With this appointment, the European School of Economics reaffirms its commitment to advancing education that unites intellect, creativity, and ethical leadership preparing students to excel in life, business, and sport.
